Empowering Facilitators: The SPARK LTTA in Spain
The SPARK project is taking a major step toward empowering youth in peripheral regions with our upcoming Learning, Teaching, and Training Activity (LTTA).
Hosted by our Spanish partner, AMICS, this five-day residential training take place from June 21st to June 26th, 2026. The event brings together 20 youth workers and local stakeholders from across our partner countries to strengthen their competencies in facilitating meaningful youth participation.
What is it about: The LTTA is designed to provide intensive, hands-on learning through a blended training program. Rather than traditional lectures, participants will engage in:
- Practical Exercises: Interactive workshops, case studies, and role-playing to practice vital facilitation skills.
- Real-Life Simulations: Activities designed to simulate real participatory scenarios, preparing youth workers to effectively mentor young people and guide engagement processes.
- Skill-Building Workshops: Dedicated sessions focusing on advocacy, participatory governance, and project management.
From Inspiration to Action This capacity-building event is a crucial stepping stone for the overall SPARK project. By addressing the lack of specialized training in youth work, the LTTA ensures that facilitators are fully equipped to engage young people in local decision-making.
Following the training in Spain, these 20 youth workers will return to their communities to mentor 60 young people. Together, they will launch six youth-led action projects across our partner countries, applying these newly acquired participatory methodologies to solve real community challenges and test the SPARK Youth Participation Framework
From Spain we had the youth workers from Aldaia (Gent Jove – Ajuntament d’Aldaia) and from AMICS (Alcoià i El Comtat).
